About ORISSAMINE
Orissa Minerals Development Company is in possession of three mines namely Belkundi Iron and Manganese Mines, Bagiaburu Iron Mines and Bhadrasai Iron and Manganese Mine at Barbil in the district of Keonjhar, Odisa. OMDC earlier operated three mines of BPMEL under Power of Attorney namely Dalki Manganese Mines, Kolha Roida Iron & Manganese mines, Thakurani Iron and Manganese Mines. Presently out of the three OMDC mines, Bagiaburu Iron mine is in operation. The other two mines of OMDC are inoperative due to non-availability of Forest and Environment clearance.
