Index Value = (Current Weighted Free-Float Market Capitalisation / Base Market Capitalisation) x Base Index Value
Step 2: Free-Float Market Cap Calculation
Free-float shares exclude promoter and restricted holdings.
Free-float market cap = Free-float shares x current market price.
Step 3: Quality Score Computation
Each stock is assigned a quality score based on:
- Return on Equity (ROE)
- Balance Sheet Accruals Ratio
- Financial Leverage
Scores are standardised using z-scores and averaged. Final quality score adjusts based on whether the average score is positive or negative.
Step 4: Weight Assignment
Each stock's weight = Quality Score x Free-float market capitalisation.
